Polyurethane (PU)-based plastics have become indispensable in our daily lives as elastomers, potting compounds, foams, coatings, adhesives and other special applications. Due to their chemical structure and composition, certain PU components have a high reactivity to even traces of moisture in the system. The corresponding chemical reaction leads to the formation of CO2 and thus to the mostly undesirable formation of gas bubbles. By adding specially modified zeolite powders, the moisture is removed from the system and the above-mentioned undesirable reaction is prevented.outgassing.
